Flexographic Platemaker

Flexo prepress company is hiring for a platemaker to join our team on rd shift. Candidates will perform diversified manual and mechanical duties to make flexographic printing plates.
Duties include: Perform diversified duties necessary for the safe and efficient production of flexographic printing plates and sleeves.
Plating duties include: inspecting and coating, engraving, processing, proofing/qc, packing and shipping. Updating orders and other similar duties assisting in the plating process are also required.
Requires: Time management in a fast paced work environment, self motivation, ability to multitask and work in deadline orientated environment, good verbal communication ability, visual acuity to written material and plate detail, manual coordination and dexterity in handing plates, and films. The use of ordinary hand tools, and a strong understanding of various measuring tools and the physical ability to lift various weight is essential, as is a dedication to quality.
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience and understanding of the flexo plate making process preferred.
Prior experience in a printing environment is beneficial.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment is a must.
Microsoft Windows knowledge.
