Job Description About your role Avery Dennison is seeking a Technical Engineering Manager to lead, develop, and drive the engineering team to improve process reliability, technology advancement, and support improvement projects for our Fastener Solutions business in Fitchburg, MA. With mentorship and leadership from the Director of WW Ops, you will lead a team of process engineers sought at providing support and efficiency improvements to the site. Your responsibilities will include:

Safety:
Promote safety as the most important value in the organization by contributing through training, project management and other EHS responsibilities. Lead, develop, and coach the technical team including toolroom supervisor, maintenance supervisor and manufacturing engineering team to improve process reliability, technology advancement, and support continuous improvement projects. Collaborate with other plants/divisions to identify and implement operational best practices. Lead capital project planning, communication, and execution to achieve time, cost, and results targets. Examples include scoping, purchase and validation of new equipment such as injection molding machines, automation, material handling systems. Manage/control cost center and capital project portfolio to achieve targeted results. Apply thorough observation and analytical tools to identify and execute projects focused on safety, quality, operating cost, productivity, and fulfillment of customer expectations. Lead/facilitate/collaborate with other functions to ensure project objectives are aligned with division and plant objectives. Assess, select, and manage external contractors for project and service requirements. Member of plant leadership team with leadership responsibilities both within primary function and beyond. Provide training, coaching, performance planning, and feedback to develop direct reports and others. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering field 8
years experience in plant operation/engineering Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to influence and inspire others to excel. Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and projects concurrently in a dynamic factory environment. Adept in a team environment. Actively promote collaboration & partnership and resolve disagreements. Ability and willingness to adjust schedule to support 24/7 operations. Strong organization and computer skills - Google, Solid modeling experience (Preferably SolidWorks or Unigraphics/NX) is preferred Results driven with a focus on consistent improvement. Organized and logical with ability to prioritize and sort complex problems moving to root cause and final resolution. Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering. 5
years of experience in leadership role Experience in Six Sigma or Lean Methodologies (Blackbelt/Greenbelt). Education:

Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Engineering Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
