Family Day Care Home Visitor

OverviewThe Family Day Care (FDC) Home Visitor is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the program including monitoring and support of children and families of the Family Day Care Program.
Responsibilities Monitor Family Daycare Homes by conducting 2 visits a month (in person or virtual) minimum.
o Provide copies of client paperwork to our CAFS providers including the Ages & Stages development evaluations.
(Assist in providing help if needed on the child progress reports)o Work together, with the Department of Children and Families (DCF), Early Intervention (EI), and Special Education Department (SPED), to ensure children are receiving appropriate services.
o Act as liaison between the FDC providers and parents and as an advocate for the child.
o Assist and Report all DCF case load concerns to CAFS director / support DCF supportive parents, DCF social workers and FDC providers.
o Observe, children during activities (give suggestions or ideas on activities or discuss ways to improve)o Assist providers with the children curriculum plans, collect and review every montho Provide guidance to all providers with any concerns or complaints providers may have about a client or a childo Closely monitor children's attendance throughout each montho Monitor children's files for health records (update of physicals& immunizations and Medical Health conditions as needed by child)o Ensure that providers are in compliance with all current EEC regulationso Provide parents with local resources as neededo Attend staff meetings and trainings as assignedo Assist director in planning and implementing Professional Development trainings and parent education events for FDC providers, staff, and parents.
o Responsible to arrange Substitute care when other CAFS contract providers are closed Additional Responsibilities Have knowledge of current state childcare policies.
o Carry out all activities in keeping with agency policy.
o Be a team member of CAFS to help carry out and perform other duties as required or directed.
o To carry out all responsibilities professionally and efficiently.
o Carry out all activities in keeping with program goals and objectives, and Seven Hills Policies and Procedureso To maintain employee and client confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications Associate degree or relevant experience required.
o Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, or related field preferred.
o A commitment and interest in working with young children and their families in a family childcare settingo Ability to relate positively to children and adultso Organizational skills with an ability to follow through on tasks are a must.
o Strong knowledge of DCF support services, EEC waitlist & regulations, and QRIS preferred.
o Computer experience.
o Massachusetts driver's license required.
o Maintain Infant/Child CPR & First Aid Recommended Skills Cpr Child Care Confidentiality Coordinating Early Childhood Education First Aid And Preparedness Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
