Dental Assistant Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment - Take and develop dental x-rays - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures - Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Perform basic dental receptionist duties, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records - Maintain a clean and organized dental operatory
Experience:
- Previous experience as a dental assistant preferred - Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures - Proficiency in taking and developing dental x-rays - Knowledge of pediatric dentistry is a plus - Understanding of medical coding and billing processes - Ability to perform vital signs measurements accurately - Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality - Experience with CAD/CAM technology is a bonus Skills:
- Dental receptionist skills, including appointment scheduling and record management - Assisting the dentist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety - Proficiency in taking and developing dental x-rays, ensuring proper positioning and image quality - Knowledge of pediatric dentistry, including behavior management techniques for young patients - Familiarity with medical terminology, allowing effective communication with the dentist and other healthcare professionals - Aseptic technique, maintaining a sterile environment in the dental operatory to prevent infection transmission - Understanding of medical coding for accurate billing and insurance claims submission - Ability to perform vital signs measurements, such as blood pressure and pulse rate, accurately and efficiently - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
