Addiction Counselor

POSITION
Summary: The Clinician provides individual and group counseling to patients at assigned facility.
Role and
Responsibilities:
o Assisting our patients with reaching their treatment goals;
o Preparing current patient progress reports and completion notices;
o Providing paperwork to patients, courts, probation and parole departments and referral sources;
o Maintaining accurate records to ensure compliance with all Federal and State regulations;
o Coordinating and cooperating with local agencies and organizations necessary to expedite treatment for each patient.
Qualifications:
This position does require early hours, availability from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.
o Bachelor's degree in the field of social/behavioral sciences or human services required;
o Master's degree preferred;
o State Certified / Licensed Addictions Counselor or MATS credential preferred;
o Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills;
o Experience with chemical dependency or addiction treatment preferred.
